Paediatric Communication Solutions is a private speech and language therapy practice based in New Providence, Bahamas. We offer speech and language therapy services to children from birth to 18 years.
2 years ago my 7-year-old son was frustrated with school. He was having a hard time grasping math concepts and would express how much he wanted to understand like the other kids in his class. As a parent, I was at a loss as to how to help him. On the recommendation from his school, he was evaluated and we discovered that he had a processing delay. He is now 9 and has been seeing Krysta for therapy since spring 2020. The strides he has made in that time have been tremendous. I still marvel at how far he has come. He has been given tools in therapy that I wasn’t equipped to give him at home. Altogether with the work done in therapy, reinforcing the same at home and the support from the school, he is now a straight-A student who loves learning!

For the past three years my daughter who is diagnosed with ASD and a Language disorder has received consistent speech therapy sessions with Krysta. Krysta has a genuine passion for what she does, which is evident in the way that she is able to connect so well with my daughter during her sessions. She structures her sessions in a way that is fun and effective. Krysta is very patient, and is able to foster a productive therapy session even on my daughters more challenging days. Krysta provides thorough feedback on the progress of the goals established. She and I have open communication, and I feel like we are progressing on my daughters speech journey collectively. My daughter has grown more confident and articulate, which I attribute to her sessions with Krysta.

Our son started speech therapy at the age of two with "Ms. Krista". From day one Krista welcomed him with open arms and calmed our nerves. Her kind demeanor and encouraging words made therapy fun for him. Each week he enjoyed going to therapy and each week we saw improvements in his speech. Krista is very thorough with providing updates, giving additional assignments when necessary and also giving us tips on how to further help him at home. After almost 3 years our son's speech therapy journey is coming to an end, he is now speaking confidently. We are so proud of him as he has now entered kindergarten and is doing well in school. We thank you Krista for all your hard work and dedication in helping him progress and walking us through this challenging journey.

Our son started working with Krysta at the age of 3 due to a speech and language delay. From the beginning, my son has enjoyed sessions with Krysta and was excited for each week. The level of care, attention to detail, and professionalism is what created the ultimate environment for continued growth and development. Krysta targets goals in various ways which are fun and motivating to not only our son but also to us. Providing us with tips on how to elicit certain aspects of language to practice at home from inception. After every session, Krysta took to the time to explain what was covered in the session as well as how we were tracking towards our pre-determined goals. Krysta is truly a caring professional with excellent communication skills, simply a gem in the field that has made a significant impact on our life through the exceptional work she has done with our son. Our son’s speech and language development has improved tremendously through the weekly sessions. I would highly recommend Krysta for your speech and language needs.

We started speech therapy with Ms. Krysta in March 2021. From day 1 my husband and I felt comfortable with her. She listened attentively to our concerns, thoroughly answered all our questions, and gave us the reassurance we needed as we began our speech therapy journey. When we started I was most concerned for my daughter and how she would react in sessions. But surprisingly, she and Krysta formed a bond very early and rarely made any fuss to go into sessions alone. She works miracles with little people and keeps my daughter engaged every time!!! We are involved with her in weekly sessions and she gives us homework assignments too!! She gives us honest feedback on when she sees we are working hard and when she feels we need to work harder. Now six months later, we can see some improvements in our little one's ability to communicate. She's beginning to formulate sounds to which she has never done before. She has met some of the goals Ms. Krysta has made for her and together we will continue to working hard on others. I am thankful that we found Krysta at the time that we did. I honestly don't believe we could have found a better SLP, she's awesome!

It was the middle of the pandemic and our 2 year old had become less interactive. As concerned parents, unsure of what was happening, we took him for a speech and language assessment which concluded that he had some challenges with expressive and receptive language. We immediately started sessions with Krysta twice a week to address his concerns. My son showed an instant response and continued to get better each week. After one year of therapy, he is now in school functioning superbly and impressing his teachers with how well he communicates, uses logic, and understands concepts. He has been student of the week most weeks of the school year so far and we could not be more proud. We are thankful that we shared this journey with Krysta. She has been professional, a source of encouragement and provided excellent skill with our son. She was also one to give good feedback. It is obvious that she is passionate about her career and this translated to our whole family.

My son first met Krysta when she did his initial evaluation and they instantly clicked. Being a parent with a child with a learning disability you're always concerned if the therapists will be too "doctor" ish or a by-the-book therapist. Krysta is none of them. She made it her goal to know his mannerisms and personality before catering a program to meet his needs. Since starting therapy with Krysta, the improvements in speech and language development is astounding. We review each session and I'm provided with up-to-date reports. We discuss which areas need to be strengthened and how best to do them at home. Being able to be in constant contact with Krysta is a blessing. If some circumstance comes up and we have to reschedule we are able to do so quickly and efficiently without missing a session. My son had taken such a likening to Krysta that he asks for her even when it's not a session day. Without Krysta, I do not know where we would be as a family. She is more than just a therapist. She is an integral part of our family.
